Yeah, you read the title right, this workout is vaguely based on something I saw in the Naruto Anime / Manga (I enjoy both). In one of the episodes in the Chuunin exam arc, the character Rock Lee is in a big fight and is in a bit of a pinch. He backs off out of range of his opponents, and pulls some weights off of his legs, and gets back into the fight again, now moving at about Mach 2.

Easter Temptations

Caloric evil in one of its purest forms.
Thank heavens that Easter is finally over. Now the candy that people seem to have lying around everywhere will dry up.
Just today I was sorely tempted by a caramel cadbury egg. You know the things, caramel filled with a milk chocolate shell. I said, meh, it’s only 39.1 grams (1.38 ounces to those who prefer US units) how much can that really be worth in terms of kilo-calories. Picked the thing up and in two almost sickeningly sweet bites it was gone.
I wrote it down in my food diary and left the calories blank so that I could look them up later, I just looked them up… HOLY SHITE! 510 kilo-calories per 100 grams. Multiplying by .391 yields 199.41 kcals (which I simply made 200 kcals).
The moral of the story? Run away from things made with real sugar.
The Diet Story So Far

So to bring things up-to-date on the diet front I’ll just throw a few things out there.
First of all calorie counting. I have been working to decrease my calories per day to about 1250. If you have visited the physics diet link on the side you can see that I played it a bit fast and loose in terms of actually meeting that limit but it has been making the pounds drop off. As of…well… today really, I have resolved to keep that goal more religiously.
Second, exercise, to be honest I have not really increased my amount of exercise much, I would like to, but my laziness plus my workload from research and classes prevents it. For the most part my resting metabolism has been taking the weight off or me and I am hoping that this continues. Perhaps when classes wind down I can start exercising.
I plan to post a few of the recipes that I come up with, and I will also be posting my food diary entries and daily weigh ins.
